Root System of the Banyan Tree - Havana Vedado, Cuba - February 2011

"It's in the Detail"
The streets of Havana, Cuba are lined with trees. None seem to be more abundant than the Banyantree (Ficus Citrifolia).
As beautiful as these trees are, I find that the roots winding their way up the trunk have unlimited design possibilities, with some having animals or faces hidden in them.
It’s a tree that I could photograph forever.
